Medstock Transparent Film Dressing is a waterproof polyurethane (PU) adhesive film dressing designed to promote moist wound healing by retaining natural wound exudates as well as allowing excess exudate to evaporate.

- Flexible and conformable to body contours, ensuring enhanced patient comfort
- Waterproof protective film makes it impermeable to water and body fluids, allowing area to be washed
- Transparent film allows assessment of the wound bed underneath
- Coated with a hypoallergenic pressure sensitive adhesive that provides secure adhesion
- Highly breathable
- Allows for faster healing and avoids maceration by retaining natural wound exudates and allowing excess exudates to evaporate
Indications for Use
- Suitable for wounds with nil to very low exudate
- Ideal for epithelialising wounds
- Waterproof film can be used in various situations where fixation is required on a wide variety of dressings, tubes, catheters, drains, and other medical devices
- Can be used directly over superficial wounds (superficial burns/scalds, abrasions, grazes, and cuts)
- Can be applied over surgical wounds to spread force and reduce suture load
Contraindications / Precautions
- Seek medical advice immediately for all serious wounds and burns
- If reddening or sensitisation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician
