Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution contains undecylenamidopropyl betaine, 0.1% polyaminopropyl biguanide (polyhexanide), 0.1% glycerol and hydroxyethyl cellulose.
Prontosan is a ready to use solution containing 0.1% Betaine (surfactant) and 0.1% Polyhexanide (preservative). The unique combination of Polyhexanide and Betaine have a double effect on the wound bed to create a wound environment optimal for healing. Indicated for cleansing and soaking and moistening of acute, chronic, infected wounds, superficial, superficial partial thickness, deep partial thickness burns and the prevention of biofilm formation.
