BBraun Askina Barrier Film Spray 28ml

Askina Barrier Film dries in seconds to create an ultra-thin polymer layer that protects intact or damaged skin from maceration, shear and adhesive trauma for up to three days.
The spray forms a protective barrier that shields sensitive, fragile, or damaged skin from friction, moisture, and bodily fluids, preventing maceration, excoriation, and skin tears; it can be applied under adhesive dressings to spare newly healing tissue, around periwound and peristomal areas, on small cuts or tears, and at drainage-tube or external-catheter fixation sites.

Ideal applications
• Periwound or peristomal skin
• Heels, elbows and bony areas at risk of friction

How to use
1. Cleanse the skin with appropriate cleansing solution and dry thoroughly.
2. Holding the spray nozzle 10 - 15 cm from the skin, press the spray nozzle and apply a smooth coating of film over the necessary area.
3. Allows the film to dry for 30 seconds. If using the swab, apply to area requiring protection and allow 30 seconds to dry.
4. If necessary, can be removed with Askina® Adhesive Remover or a commonly used medical adhesive remover.
