What is Sodium Chloride Irrigation Solution used for?

Slushed solution is used to create regional hypothermia in order to reduce and minimize manifestations of warm temperature ischemia. Temperature probes may be used to determine requirements for replacement or addition of slushed solution.

Sodium Chloride Irrigation is a sterile solution used to clean wounds and flush away tissue debris and blood during surgical procedures. It can be also used for soaking surgical dressings, instruments, or rinsing a urethral catheter, which is a tube used to drain the bladder.
